Bio-security means keeping living things safe, alive and healthy. We played some fun games about Bio-security. Here are some of our favourites: Infection Materials: Large space, 5 or more people, 10 markers Rules: When a person is tapped they have to pull up their sleeves. How to Play: One person is infected and they try to tap the others. When you are tapped you are also infected. When a person is tapped that have to pull up their sleeves The game is finished when all the people are infected. The Veterinarian Materials: large space, 5 or more people, 10 markers Rules:You must not stay in place after you're infected, you must tip others. How to play: One person is a vet and another is infected. The infected sheep must try to tap all the others while the vet must un-infect the infected sheep by tapping them. Direct Danger Rules:You can not scream or yell. How to play: Everyone closes there eyes and the adult taps on kid on the head and once this has been done they are infected, they go around squeezing others hands. Once your hand has been squeezed, you are also infected. Why we did it? We played the bio-security games to teach the students how diseases spread and the importance biosecurity is. Biosecurity is a series of measures to protect against the entry and spread of pests and diseases. It includes both protection of Australia's borders at ports and airports, and our practices and habits on properties to reduce the risk of disease or infestation. Dirty Disgusting DiseasesDiseases are bad things that invade you and your farms so PLEASE USE BIOSECURITY!!!!! Bio means living things and Security means protecting things. Please check your stock. |
